The station can be transferred from one department to another only as a part of the whole exclusion zone.

Transfer of Chernobyl nuclear power plant (Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station) from maintaining of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources in maintaining of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy will slow down the implementation of the international projects, considers the head of the State agency of management of an exclusion zone Vladimir Holosha.

According to Holosha, the station can be transferred from one department to another only as a part of whole exclusion zone as the station and a zone are connected and constitute a single complex.

In his opinion, department change also will entail a change of details and some other bureaucratic delays.

As it was reported earlier, the labor union of nuclear scientists suggested the government to transfer the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station to the jurisdiction of Ministry of Energy.
