Chernobyl: Abandoned Village Martynovychi
The village is situated 21 km away from the railway station Vilcha. The village Martynovychi
has been known since the XV century. It was mentioned in historical documents in 1458. There
was a church. Time of its construction isn't known but there are certificates that the church
existed in the middle of the XVII century.
After the accident the village Martynovychi wasn’t necessary to resettle but some part of the
population left the village and they settled in different places of Ukraine.
