Chernobyl: Abandoned Village Rechytsa
The village is situated 45 km away to the west from Chernobyl. The village was a center of
the village council. In the 70s there were about 700 inhabitants in the village and there was a
primary school.
Population resettlement from the contaminated territories was realized in 1986. People were
moved to villages of Makarovsky district, Kiev region.
